Compassionate therapy designed to help you rediscover balance, build clarity, and move toward what matters most to you.
Therapy that fits you.
Hi, I’m Alyx.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who supports individuals navigating chronic illness, emotional distress, grief and loss, and relationship challenges. Whether navigating a diagnosis, life transition, or a desire to feel more like yourself again, I am here to walk alongside you.
I welcome clients who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent (including ADHD, OCD, and Autism Spectrum), or who hold layered identities and are seeking a space where all aspects of who you are can be affirmed and supported. Together, we’ll explore not just your challenges—but what matters most to you.

I provide individual therapy for adults (18+) who are looking for support navigating life’s challenges, improving their relationship with themselves, and creating meaningful change. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, strengths, and goals while developing strategies that support your wellbeing.
-
Living with chronic illness can impact many areas of life, including identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and your sense of the future. Therapy can provide space to process these experiences and navigate the challenges that come with adapting to ongoing health concerns.
-
Anxiety and emotional distress can impact how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. You may find yourself caught in cycles of worry, self-doubt, overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from what matters most. Therapy can help you better understand these patterns, develop skills to respond to difficult emotions, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
-
Grief can take many forms, including the loss of a loved one, changes in health, identity, relationships, or the life you expected. Therapy can offer support as you process loss, make space for difficult emotions, and adjust to what has changed.
-
Major life changes and relationship challenges can bring uncertainty, stress, and complex emotions. Therapy can provide a space to explore what you are experiencing, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that feels aligned with your values.
My Approach
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
You will be supported in exploring your values — the things that truly matter to you — and using them to guide meaningful change. ACT recognizes that difficult thoughts and emotions are a natural part of life and focuses on building flexible ways to respond to challenges while staying connected to the life you want to create.
Trauma-Informed
You will be met with compassion, respect, and an understanding that your past experiences can shape how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. Together, we will prioritize safety, trust, and understanding.
Collaborative
You are the expert on your own life. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify your goals, and find approaches that feel supportive and meaningful for you. Therapy is a partnership where your perspective guides the direction of our work.
Integrative
You will receive an approach that is tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches, including ACT, CBT, solution-focused strategies, and self-compassion practices, to ensure therapy fits you rather than expecting you to fit a specific framework.
